He Was One Bad Boy

After only two months since riding the winning horse in the Kentucky Derby – one of the biggest races in North America – jockey Flavien Prat took One Bad Boy to the winner’s circle in Canada’s biggest race on Saturday: the 160th running of the Queen’s Plate.

The 26-year-old French-born jockey held off co-favourite Avie’s Flatter down the stretch to take the $1,000,000 first jewel of the Canadian Triple Crown and became only the third jockey to accomplish the Derby and Plate double win.
