The Cape Breton Highlanders finished their two-game Central Division road trip in Kitchener tonight with a 111-105 loss to the home squad Titans.
The Highlanders’ loss to Windsor Friday halted a winning run of four wins out of five games before the team headed into Ontario for the weekend.
Titans’ Ricky Tarrant, below, topped the KW scorers with 21 points on the night going 6 for 16 from 2-pt range and 9 of 10 from the foul line.
Highlanders’ guard Chad Frazier, below, posted 14 points and topped the team with six assists on the afternoon.
Austin Witter started the game at forward and looked to be having a hot hand hitting all three of his shots from two-point range and a three-pointer before heading off the court in the first half with the help of fellow teammates after slipping and landing awkwardly on the hardcourt floor.
Below, teammate Chadrack Lufile and head coach Ben Resner tend to Witter after the incident.
Cape Breton has another chance at Kitchener in a week’s time as the Titans go on the road themselves for a few games on the East Coast.
