The Kitchener-Waterloo Titans managed to shutdown Orangeville’s big men early in their match with the A’s Friday night, but the visiting squad would wait until the fourth quarter before taking a lead and cruising the better part of the last frame to a 110-98 win in Orangeville.
Orangeville’s 7-footer from Stanford, 250-lb Stefan Nastic (32) drew plenty of attention from K-W’s defense, above and below, which managed to keep Nastic to two points on the night, both only from free throws.
Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson, below, led all A’s with 18 points on the night.
Power forward Cavell Johnson, below, played strong defensively for the Titans getting four rebounds and three blocks.
Starting centre Paul Cooper, below, went 4 for 6 from the field for 11 points and six rebounds.
