Deep Freeze

It wasn’t exactly cold enough to put things into a deep freeze at Woodbine Racetrack today as the thoroughbred card hits its third last day of the year, but jockey Rafael Hernandez, below, was able to freeze out his competitors in three of the last four races Friday.

Fellow jockey Eurico Rosa da Silva tied Hernandez for the most wins for the day, starting early in Race 1 aboard Where’s The Gold, below, and winning two more in races 6 and 8.

Jesse Campbell pulled in two wins in a row in the second and third races…

…whizzing past competitors and the scoreboard, below, aboard Bourbon First in Race 2.
