A Tuesday Tilt

The Toronto Argonauts prepared at their York University practice field Sunday afternoon for an unusual Tuesday night tilt with the visiting Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Sitting in first place in the East with only a pair of wins in the first six games of the season, the Argos are looking for quarterback Ricky Ray, below, to help increase their relative stranglehold on their pitiful division rivals.
All-purpose receiver/returner Chad Owens, below playfully trying to hide from the prying eyes of the ‘paparazzi’, has been sidelined with a foot injury since mid-July and has been on a six-game injury list since then with fellow starters Jason Barnes and Andre Durie.IMG_6902

…while fellow back Curtis Steele follows the real ball into his hands, below, and makes sure the others are aware as he mockingly points to teammates.

Back-up quarterbacks move in choreographed rhythm as they follow the practice play behind starter Ricky Ray.
